clickTAG banners even in the FREE AREA now

In the near future all banners in the Free Area will have the clickTAG. This requires some little changes in the HTML-code (not for the banners you still use) because the URL where a banner links to will now be stored in the HTML-code and not in the banner itself.

 

This means more flexibility for you, because of the following points:

  • Link targets can be changed easily without creating a new banner, just change the clickTAG in your HTML-code.

  • Due to the clickTAG the banners can be connected to scripts, such as banner exchange systems, statistic tools, addserver and many more. By the way, this is also the technique Google uses for their advertisment.

  • Now you are able to create banners without target URL. This might be useful if want to use the banner just as a grafic or a header for instance and don't want to have it linking somewhere.

 

The clickTAG HTML-code will be displayed after each banner creation at the bottom of the page (in the yellow box).

Until now I'm done with the rework of the skyscraper banners and will modify the others step by step. I guess this will take a week, but I will update the table below when there is something new.
