New page peel banner

I thought it was time to have a new page peel banner. The old ones show to small parts of your pictures. The advantage of the new one is that it shows the pictures over the hole "backside” of your pages.
The pictures you use should have at least a size of 455x445 pixel. But don't worry, you don't have to prepare them in a special way. The banner creator will scale and cut them automatically.
If you upload a picture with a size of 800x600 pixel for example, the banner creator will do the steps as follows:

  1. The picture gets scaled to 593x455 px.
  2. A section of 455x445 px will be taken starting from the right hand side and used for your peel banner.

I'm not sure what the best way is to cut the picture. Is it better to take the right side, or is it better for users to use the middle part of the pictures? What do you think?

Best you have a try yourself...
